Swarnim Sangam at BFBS Gurkha Radio

BFBS Gurkha Radio Nepal बाट प्रसारित कार्यक्रम ‘स्वर्णिम संगम’ का सञ्चालक सरोज केसी को निम्तो स्विकार गर्दै आज BFBS Gurkha Radio को स्टुडियो बाट विभिन्न मुलुक का नेपाली श्रोताहरू, खास गरि चेक रिपब्लिक, युके, इजरायल, जापान, अफगानिस्तान, हङकङ अनि नेपाल का श्रोताहरू सँग प्रत्यक्ष अडियो भिडियो कुराकानी गर्ने अवसर प्रदान भयो । करिब दुई घण्टाको उक्त कार्यक्रममा प्रत्यक्ष सहभागी श्रोता हरू सँग दोहोरी देखि मेरो आफ्नो बारेमा, मेरो साङ्गीतिक पेसा सम्बन्धी जानकारी र भलाकुसारी हरू राख्नु पाउँदा निकै खुसी लागेको छ ।

आज विशेष गरेर मेरो सार्वजनिक हुन लागेको बाह्रौं प्रस्तुति तथा पहिलो आधुनिक गीति एल्बम ‘शिरमा फूल’ लाइ प्राथमिकता दिएको थियो र त्यही एल्बम बाट गीत हरू पनि प्रस्तुत गरियो राखियो । BFBS Gurkha Radio Nepal, कार्यक्रम सञ्चालक सरोज केसी साथै सम्पूर्ण श्रोता मित्र हरूमा आभार सहित धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गर्न चाहन्छु । ‘स्वर्णिम संगम’ को रेकर्डेड कार्यक्रम यहाँ ४ भाग मा राखिएको छ, सुनेर आनन्द लिनु भै सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया हरू राखिदिनु हुन सनम्र अनुरोध गर्दछु । – सुनिता दुलाल

About British Forces Broadcasting Service – BFBS Gurkha Radio

The BFBS Gurkha Radio service broadcasts in the UK, Afghanistan and Nepal on FM and everywhere online. It provides Gurkhas and their families with news, speech and music in Nepali and English. We also carry programmes from our sister stations in Kathmandu and Brunei.

The main aim of Gurkha Radio is to make soldiers in the Brigade of Gurkhas, and those serving with other regiments, feel more at home, even when they are miles away from their families, whether it is to lift their mood in an extremely hostile atmosphere or to help them ease out their stress with their choice of music, whether to keep them informed of what’s going on in their homeland or to fill their leisure time with different varieties of entertaining programmes.

BFBS Gurkha Radio in Nepal was established in 1997 in Kathmandu after the closure of BFBS Nepali Service in Hong Kong, the same year as the sovereignty of this crown colony was handed back to China by Great Britain. Hong Kong was the home base of Gurkha soldiers for many years and BFBS Nepali Service was their only medium to connect home thus it was an integral part of their lives.

In order to maintain this important link with home and also to provide entertainment to Gurkha soldiers and families, serving in Brunei and the United Kingdom, BFBS Gurkha Nepal came into existence.
